The media is presenting to the public a perspective that cops and citizens are in perpetual conflict and that there are losses on both sides. Their feckless reporting that ‘the cops took a loss’ and related ‘the COPA release of bodycam from the Clay shooting’ perpetuate the fair fight myth. It is not a seesaw. It is not a contest of equals. Shame on them for presenting it this way.
